Zamurrad Safdar did her MFA Painting from the Department of Fine Arts in 1975. Zamurrad has been primarily associated with teaching and currently is the Director of the Institute of Design and Visual Arts at the Lahore College for Women University. She has recently displayed a renewed interest in painting, producing solo shows at the Alhamra Art Gallery, Lahore in 2012 and at Coopera Art Gallery, Lahore in 2013.
