Kaleem Khan, born in Quetta in 1958, is a notable Pakistani painter whose work is closely tied to the landscape and culture of Balochistan. He completed his schooling at Islamia School, Quetta, in 1976 and finished his intermediate studies in science at Government Science College in 1978. Although he followed the science stream under family pressure, his real interest always lay in art. During those years, he frequently visited the Quetta Arts Council, where he encountered the work of Pir Mohammad Tareen.
