Erfan Ullah Babar completed his MFA in Graphic Design from the Department of Fine Arts, University of the Punjab, Lahore, in 1991. After graduating in the early 1990s, Babar worked in the advertising industry in the corporate sector. Eventually, he chose teaching as his vocation and was appointed Chairman of the Fine Arts Department at Government College, Lahore (now Government College University, GCU).
